The Basics

There is nothing basic about our approach to painting ‘the basics’. As with all of our projects, we are mindful that we are painting in your HOME and not on a construction site. We protect your floors and furnishings. We also work quietly while keeping a small footprint and clean up well daily.
After determining the right paint for your project, we properly prepare surfaces that are to be painted. This means that we’ll patch holes and cracks in the walls and sand smooth. We will sand, clean and re-caulk trim where necessary. Of course, we’ll prime the surfaces as needed before applying uniform coats of premium Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore paints.

Millwork Painting

If you have elevated your space with additional millwork, trust the finishing to JBP. Whether it’s crown molding, ceiling coffers, board and batten, or other intricate moldings, you can count on our attention to detail to bring the look you want to life. We’ll determine the best processes, primers and paints to ensure you have a sophisticated look that will last.

Kitchen Cabinet Painting

We should really call it Kitchen Cabinet Coating, because that is what it is. The “topcoat” we use to finish your cabinets meets or exceeds the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) requirements for cabinetry. Of course, these finishes are not only for your kitchen cabinets. Your bathroom, laundry and built-ins in the mud room and office can be professionally finished as well.

Although the entire process may take about a week, we have optimized our processes to tie up your kitchen for only 2-4 days, depending on the size of the project, additional colors, and additional areas being painted. Your cabinet bases will be finished in your home, while any exposed shelving, doors and drawer fronts will be taken to our shop to be finished. We’ll reinstall and adjust your doors and drawer fronts and give them some new clear bumpers. We can even install new door knobs and pulls.

Remodeling

Are you remodeling or adding an addition and want to upgrade your painting experience with JBP? You are not obligated to use the painting company your remodeling contractor prefers. We’ll work directly with you and your remodeling contractor to ensure you are fully informed of the paint processes being used to finish your new space.

Remodels and additions require professionals that are experienced in new home construction with the attention to detail, communication and professionalism desired by homeowners. Our high standard is catered to working in occupied and furnished homes. We are not asking our team to be on their “best behavior” when working in your home. That’s our standard, day in and day out. Drywall Repairs & Light Carpentry

There is no need to find an additional contractor to do drywall repairs, drywall finishing or light carpentry when you have a need that arises as part of your painting project with JBP. Our team is skilled in drywall repairs/finishing and light carpentry so that you can avoid coordinating the schedules of additional contractors and their often inflated prices for “small jobs”. From fully skimming walls to smooth them out to installing shoe molding after flooring installation, we have you covered.

Wallpaper Removal

When it’s finally time to get the wallpaper off the wall and turn it into the new color and transform your space, let JBP do the dirty work. Whether we can simply pull the wallpaper off, use a steamer, or soak and scrape it, we’ll get it done and cleaned up. Of course, we’ll repair and prime the walls to have it ready to paint.
