Why Hire a Pro for Wallpaper Installation?

Wallpaper seems straightforward until you’re on hour six staring at a crooked seam you can’t undo. Here’s why homeowners across West Michigan choose to leave it to an expert.
Reason 01

Prep Is Everything

Walls must be properly cleaned, primed, and smoothed before any paper goes up. Skip this step and even premium wallpaper won't adhere correctly and bubbles are guaranteed.

Reason 02

Pattern Matching Is Harder Than It Looks

Large repeats demand precise planning before the first strip goes up. A professional calculates the layout to minimize waste and ensure the pattern flows perfectly room to room.

Reason 03

Seams Show Or They Don't

Visible seams are the most common sign of a DIY install. Our specialist knows how to work with each material's expansion for tight, invisible seams every time.

Reason 04

Corners, Outlets & Trim Are Tricky

Inside corners, switch plates, and door casings require precise cuts and experience. One mistake can tear expensive wallpaper that can't be replaced mid-roll.

Reason 05

Material Matters And Varies

Vinyl, grasscloth, fabric-backed, and peel-and-stick all behave differently. Wrong adhesive or technique causes peeling, staining, or permanent wall damage.

Reason 06

Removal Is Part of the Job Too

Already have old wallpaper that needs to come down? We handle stripping and wall repair so your new paper starts on a clean, smooth surface not over patched-up damage.

We just finished a 6-month project on our home which included an exterior renovation and an addition. The first painter's final product left our new spaces looking defeated; the results were hasty and incomplete, and the painter left the "touch-up" visit without resolving the job.
Jeff's company was recommended by our contractor to remedy the situation, and we're thrilled with the whole experience! We worked primarily with Randy. We were impressed with his work ethic, professional skill set, and sincerity. Randy confidently addressed any issue that affected the final outcome - spackle, sanding, extra coating, caulk, etc. - and consulted with us on brush/roller texture, finishing touches, and more.
Jessica provided extra painting support on this job, and we admire her attention to detail and collaboration.
Both Randy and Jessica were friendly and kind. It was reassuring to see how they interacted with my family - including our pug!
We would absolutely use Jeff Bryant Painting in the future!

Our front door was badly weathered and needed refinishing. Randy, one of their crew did a great job bringing the finish back to life and protecting it from the harsh Michigan winter. It only took one day, and we are so happy with the result.

Jeff and his team did an excellent job of upgrading our Cascade condo with new paint, stained maple trim and changed the color of the stair railings from white to dark brown. They coordinated well with other contractors, kept in contact, and finished on time. We’re glad we hired them.

Very easy to work with. A very professional experience. The prep was very detailed. All caulked areas were gone over, repairs made where necessary. Staff worked diligently and without wasting time. Especially Jessica. Once started they were on the job everyday until the project was finished. If I have need in the future for additional painting needs, Jeff Bryant Painting is the only call for service I’d make.
